It is a funeral insurance policy specifically designed for Zimbabweans living in the diaspora. It provides reliable cover with payouts of up to R97 000 or access to seamless repatriation services from South Africa to Zimbabwe for burial.

The family package is designed to inclusively cover you, your spouse, and up to four biological children under 23. Additional dependants in Zimbabwe and South Africa may be added to extend protection to more loved ones.
Any Zimbabwean living in South Africa can register for any of the available packages and may also include loved ones based in Zimbabwe, ensuring broader family protection.

You need an image of your Zimbabwe identification documents - your National ID or passport and a passport sized photo or head shot.
There is a 6 months waiting period for death due to natural causes and a three months waiting period for accidental death. For dependants residing in Zimbabwe who are registered on local packages, the waiting period for death due to natural causes is 3 months for the Lite, Basic, and Standard packages and 9 months for the Premium package.
You cannot transfer a policy to someone else.
You can get a cash payout or opt to get repatriation of a deceased's body back to Zimbabwe.
Yes, you can join DIASPORA SA FUNERAL COVER and your payout will be given as cash.
You can verify if your new country aligns with the package you selected to ensure the benefit covers repatriation in the event of death. You can then choose to upgrade or downgrade accordingly.
Yes, you can. Login to your account on www.ecosure.co.zw/products/sadiaspora to upgrade or downgrade your policy. Normal NCE periods will apply for whatever package you apply for. Accidental death will be paid out according to the new package.
Where repatriation is required, discharge of service commences immediately after the claim notification. A cash claim takes within 48 hours to be processed, subject to availability of all relevant paperwork and supporting documents.
