WHO IS COVERED ON ECOSURE DIASPORA FAMILY PACKAGE?

The family package is designed to inclusively cover you, your spouse, and up to four biological children under 23. Additional dependants in Zimbabwe and South Africa may be added to extend protection to more loved ones.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR ECOSURE DIASPORA FUNERAL COVER?

Any Zimbabwean living in South Africa can register for any of the available packages and may also include loved ones based in Zimbabwe, ensuring broader family protection.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE ECOSURE DIASPORA FUNERAL COVER?

To sign up, visit www.ecosure.co.zw/diaspora and enter all your details on the portal.

WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION?

You need an image of your Zimbabwe identification documents - your National ID or passport and a passport sized photo or head shot.

IS THERE A WAITING PERIOD BEFORE I CAN CLAIM BENEFITS?

There is a 6 months waiting period for death due to natural causes and a three months waiting period for accidental death. For dependants residing in Zimbabwe who are registered on local packages, the waiting period for death due to natural causes is 3 months for the Lite, Basic, and Standard packages and 9 months for the Premium package.

CAN I TRANSFER MY POLICY TO ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER?

You cannot transfer a policy to someone else.

WHAT BENEFITS DOES ECOSURE DIASPORA FUNERAL COVER OFFER?

You can get a cash payout or opt to get repatriation of a deceased's body back to Zimbabwe.

I ALREADY HAVE FUNERAL COVER WITH ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER. CAN I STILL JOIN ECOSURE DIASPORA FUNERAL COVER?

Yes, you can join EcoSure Diaspora Funeral Cover and your payout will be given as cash.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I RELOCATE TO A DIFFERENT COUNTRY?

You can verify if your new country aligns with the package you selected to ensure the benefit covers repatriation in the event of death. You can then choose to upgrade or downgrade accordingly.

CAN I UPGRADE OR DOWNGRADE MY ECOSURE DIASPORA FUNERAL COVER PACKAGE?

Yes, you can. Login to your account on www.ecosure.co.zw/diaspora to upgrade or downgrade your policy. Normal NCE periods will apply for whatever package you apply for. Accidental death will be paid out according to the new package.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR A CLAIM TO BE PROCESSED?

Where repatriation is required, discharge of service commences immediately after the claim notification. A cash claim takes within 48 hours to be processed, subject to availability of all relevant paperwork and supporting documents.
